How To Manually Initiate SCCM Client To Check And Install Updates

  1. Open Control Panel > Configuration Manager or start in command prompt control smscfgrc
  2. Choose the Actions tab.
  3. Select Software Updates Scan Cycle, click Run Now, click OK.
  4. Select Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle, click Run Now, click OK.
  5. Close out Configuration Manager.
  6. Open Software Center.
  7. Check on Updates. If nothing new shows up, wait 5 minutes then press F5.
  8. If needed, manually initialize installation of updates.
